Dairy Farm Assistant!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, progressive & positive person or couple to join our team in Hilderthorpe North Otago. Our beautiful farm is only 15 minutes north of Oamaru and access to the wonders of the Waitaki Valley at our doorstep.
We operate a fully irrigated pasture-based system over 248ha, milking 900 cows through a 60 bale rotary with ACRs with 4.5 staff

Tasks include but not limited to:
- Milking
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery
- Break feeding
- General farm maintenance

- Calf rearing if required

Roster is 6 on 2 off & 5 on 2 off from December onwards

The ideal applicant will have experience milking cows, however, attitude and motivation are most important as that will make the learning easier, there is much oppurtunity to learn our systems and gain a good understanding on the positive kiwi faming way
We love to see our staff progress and aim to have a team, where everyone is achieving their goals, whilst contributing to the success of our day to day targets

Fan  communication with team members, positive calm demenour towards peers, animals and equipment and willingness put great energy into all daily tasks is what we search for in the ideal applicant

Accommodation is a comfortable two bedroom home 15min off farm in the local town of Oamaru, accomodation is $100/wk/person, this is part of the package
