Casual staff wanted for beautiful wilderness location.

All positions are live-in positions at Kinloch. Read the info below and contact us!

We offer a stunning wilderness location and great outdoor activities. Check our website to see what a stunning area we are in, remote yet only an hour from Queenstown. Close to major tracks (Routeburn, Greenstone, Rees/Dart) and many day walks. There's lots to do in the area and you'll have access to our kayaks, bicycles, fishing rods and the hot tub.

We are a family of five running a lodge with heritage rooms, backpacker rooms, family rooms, and a cozy restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

What we're looking for:

Although we need help with a variety of tasks, often tasks consist of cleaning (toilets, kitchen, bathrooms, rooms etc.) and housekeeping (making over beds, assisting with laundry etc.). Therefore we are looking for enthusiastic people that are not afraid of hard work and able to work independently. Other work may include kitchen work, odd jobs, some site maintenance, and occasionally help with FOH and kitchen tasks. We offer 2 hours per day of work minimum, but extra hours are available for the right people.

We also need help in our small, cute, but very busy cafe/gift shop with a B&B in Glenorchy.

Accommodation for our casual workers is either in shared 2 person bunk room, 2 share cabins/sleepouts or private cabin/sleepout for couples. This includes unlimited high speed wifi, free laundry, a TV room with over 200 DVDs, unlimited kayak and bike use, and the hot tub! The fully equipped self-catering guest kitchen is available to prepare your meals and John and Toni are happy to help you arrange groceries.

All casual staff require a WORKING VISA or PERMIT and an IRD NUMBER. You will get paid for every hour worked at minimum wage + holiday pay and your accommodation cost is taken from wages ($33.73 a night - 2hrs work covers this). We are more keen to take on people wanting to stay for longer periods, especially those in their mid twenties and onwards, and require all our staff to speak English fluently.

We’ve built our business from the ground up and our heart is in our business. Therefore we are looking for people who have the right attitudes and good work ethic! Our company values are: Intelligence, Relevance, Thoughtfulness, Community, Environment and Fun. Can you identify yourself with our values? Do you like to be outdoors (i.e. hiking, kayaking, biking, photography etc.), are you a hardworking person and are you looking for a paid position for at least 3 weeks or more? Contact us and tell us why you would love to work with us! We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
