Fancy living and working on the beautiful Coromandel for free?

We need a capable pair of hands to help us on our lifestyle block near Thames, on the Coromandel Peninsula. Ideally, you'll be skilled in some type of trade, but not essential so long as you're up for some hard work and know your way around tools.  

Tasks might include digging, woodwork, clearing up or anything that helps us out. You would be working alongside my husband (electrician). We've had lots of woofers before and really enjoy meeting new folks from around the world. There are short-term tasks and longer projects, depending on your skills and availability.

Accommodation is a private bedroom in our newly built 4bedroom house. You would use the main family bathroom (which only the kids and the au pair use as we have our own ensuite) and our shared kitchen. Free wifi, bed and board, an outdoorsy lifestyle and access to bikes are available. The property is just beside the Hauraki Rail Trail, which is a lovely cycle / walkway into Thames. You could manage living here with no car, but this is rural NZ, so best if you drive. 

We're both working full-time right now, so you'd be tasked with work when we're out and/or work with us at the weekends. We would ask 15h pw, in exchange for accomodation. We would pay minimum wage for additional hours worked. You would be welcome to join us for meals, so long as you contributed by cooking or cleaning up. 

We are a couple, originally from Ireland. Alongside our 2 crazy boys, we've got cows, chickens, a cat and a dog. We are a busy family and a friendly one. If you're interested, please get in touch.
