I am looking for a couple (or single person) to help out on a lifestyle property growing organic herbs for making medicines  and taking care of horses.    This will be for 1 month minimum, ideally until end of August.     I am looking for someone (or two) who are capable and practical in a farm situation.  During winter the chores are generally feeding stock, covers on/off horses as necessary so you need to be familiar with handling horses.  Firewood cutting and stacking, some garden maintenance, hedge trimming, weeding, weed whacking etc.  Its not a full time paid job, but the village of Hanmer Springs nearby is always looking for casual staff for cafes, restaurants, motel cleaning etc so additional paid work is plentiful if thats important to you.

TO suit my situation Ideally you will be a bit of a practical and handy person (s), not affraid of using tools, and like gardening and animals.  Knowing a weed from a plant and some knowledge of plants and herbs beneficial.   RIding skills not essential as long as you dont mind handling horses, feeding, rugs on or off etc.   Being friendly, good communicators, honest & enthusiastic is important.   I have 6 horses, and an organic herbal garden.   You must be ok with cats. The accommodation cottage has its own pet cat, (to make you feel at home)  and i do feral rescues as well so some handling and taming cats would be great if you like that sort of thing.   If you are really into horses and would like to learn more about equine therapies this is also a great opportunity.       Start  is as soon as possible.   Your "medical status" is irrelevant here, we are organic and dont support no jab no job rulings.   Accommodation would be a  self contained cottage which has 1 queen 1 single bed.  Fully furnished and equipped with laundry etc.  and a nice log fire. Wood supplied.    Its more of a woofing arrangement so there will be a certain number hours help required in return for the accom.  and depending on your skills some paid work on top.   I grow alot of organic veges so we eat well, plus some eggs if the hens are laying.

Country life experience is essential, a fun sense of humour, and good english comprehension please.   If you looking for a nice warm base to spend winter, this is a great opportunity.  WIFi  available and power free.   Clean well water.   Vegans welcome.
