Sweet Corn & Maize Hand Harvesters

We are looking to fill the positions of detassling/hand-pollinating/nursery workers. You will be working in small teams

We are looking for students/workers to fill the positions of Nursery & Production workers. You will be working in small teams doing three primary jobs, which are detassling, hand harvesting and pollinating.

To be considered, you will need:

• Good physical fitness as this job is outdoor and can be labour intensive

• Good communication skills to follow instructions efficiently

• The ability to work well as part of a team

• Your own transport and a restricted or full drivers license.

You will be needed for at least 20-30 hours of work per week, rostered on Monday to Sunday 7.30am to 5pm. You must be able to work on some weekends.

Horticulture experience would be helpful but is not essential.

Our business is a maize and sweetcorn seed Production Company based in New Zealand. Our business is producing seed for export to mainly European countries in a 100% GMO free environment. The position offers a good work environment with plenty of variety and the chance to be taught new skills.

The end date of work is negotiable - we are happy to be flexible around university studies.
