Night Warden Backpackers

**** Work as a living on site nightwarden - from 11th March 2024 ****

Want to spend your free time at the beach, relaxing in the sun or enjoying some live music and a cold beer? Then Mount Maunganui is the place to be!

We are looking for a nightwarden to work at our busy 96-bed hostel in Mount Maunganui!

THE BEST WAY TO MAKE FRIENDS AND MEET PEOPLE! People here stay several months... it is a big house where you live with your mates :)
You'll be working 2 evening shifts from 9pm-12am (then on call) with the opportunity to have a job during the day! You must live on site (Staff get discounted rate of $224/week) and be on the property from 9pm till 7.30am.
8 hours paid a week with maybe the opportunity for more hours if wanted (cleaning shifts). 
You will be sharing our private nightwarden room with the other nightwarden, you'll have your own ensuite bathroom and access to the shared staff kitchen.

Ideal match for this role is mature, has experience in an authoritative role, and is not afraid of confrontation. You'll be responsible for any late check ins once the office has closed, cleaning the kitchen and communal areas at night, and being the point of contact for any emergencies that may arise during the night.

Requirements:
* Be a team player
* Friendly attitude and great customer service skills
* Must be OK with working weekends and public holidays
* Have experience in an authoritative position in order to maintain order about the hostel.

*Minimum 8 weeks -If you can't stay that long please don't apply.
