Food Truck Crew

Payment: $25 Location: North Shore
Region: Auckland Experience: Limited Experience Necessary

We are looking for a charismatic, enthusiastic couple to primarily manage one of our Food Trucks starting in at the end of February until the end of April. Accommodation is provided and you will be paid for the hours worked in the truck.

Looking to have a different experience in New Zealand? Meet lots of friendly kiwis and work at a different location almost every day? Keen to work with a fun crew in a fast paced environment? Enjoy the perks such as free tickets to some of the biggest music festivals in Auckland?

We are offering this opportunity to amazing travellers over the busy Food Truck season.

Double Dutch Fries was created after struggling to find decent hand cut fries in Auckland. We have two food trucks operating all over Auckland. The food trucks move around to different events, markets, festivals and each week differs from the one before it. We take whole potatoes with us on the trucks and cut them fresh in the truck to serve the best possible fries. On our best days we sell around 500kg of potatoes.

We only hire fun, positive hard working so expect to be busy while listening to good music and having fun with both the crew and customers. We look for personality first, experience second.

The job entails cleaning and packing the truck, driving it to the event (one of you will need to be confident driving a manual truck - no special license needed), setting it up, serving, packing it up and driving the truck back to base. Depending on your skills and experience you may be asked to help with admin as well.

We have large room available for you to stay in a 3 bedroom house in Long Bay. The house is big, quiet, warm and 5 minutes drive from Long Bay beach.

There will be lots of flexibility for you to travel outside of Auckland on your days off as we plan each month in advance.

In order to be considered for this role, you must:

  • have a fun and witty personality
  • a valid drivers license.
  • be able to cope well under pressure.
  • Being able to speak Dutch will be an advantage but not essential

Feel free to check out our website of facebook page for more information. Hopefully hear from you soon!
