The Company 

Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) operates two of the world’s most scenic airports – Queenstown and Wanaka - which connect the stunning Southern Lakes region of New Zealand with the world.  QAC owns and operates Queenstown Airport and manages Wanaka Airport on behalf of Queenstown Lakes District Council under a management services agreement.  Each year the QAC team ensures a warm southern welcome and farewell to travellers making the most of the region’s world-class scenery, lifestyle, events, and experiences. The Position:

As the face of Queenstown Airport, in this hands-on customer centric role, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for all passengers and guests to Queenstown Airport by putting their needs at the heart of everything you do. 

 

Working an average of 40 hours per week, flexibility is a must as work hours are variable to meet airline schedules which includes early starts, late finishes and weekend work.

 

Responsibilities:

Taking the lead in health and safety, you will play a vital role in every customer’s journey through Queenstown Airport, from having an ever-present smile when you greet them, to ensuring exceptional customer experience and a safe and secure journey to every passenger and guest.

 

In an ever-changing environment, you will assist with general operations, project work plus more.

Previous customer service experience working in an operational environment will be a significant advantage however, if you are able to demonstrate the required skills and attributes for this position full training will be provided.

You will need:

  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
  • A full or restricted NZ driver’s license 
  • To be able to pass Ministry of Justice, security checks and a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
