Apple Picking

Redwood Orchards is a family owned apple orchard located Redwood Valley, in the Tasman region between Richmond and Mapua.

Apple picking starts Mid February and runs until early May.

Experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training is given

Wages are incentivised by contract (bin rates) whenever higher earnings are available. 

Picking apples involves ladder work and outdoor work in the orchard can be hot. Medium fitness and stamina are advantages. 

The orchard is mainly flat to light undulation

Most of the orchard is planted in modern younger trees.
