TONGARIRO ALPINE CROSSING SUMMER SEASON

ACCOMODATION AVALIABLE, you will need a car to get into the National Park from the village.

Skotel Alpine Resort is New Zealand’s highest hotel, overlooking Mt Ngauruhoe, Mt Ruapehu and the Tongariro National Park. Lord of the rings country & on a live volcano. We are busy year-round with two distinct seasons of Summer for the Tongariro Crossing & hiking adventures and Winter for the ski season. We offer our guests a great base for all of their adventure needs.

We require a great can do attitude & a fast & effective worker for our summer season.

Objective of position

To ensure the housekeeping operation runs smoothly, efficiently & happily within set time limits and to set standards.

Report to

Head Housekeeper

Responsible for

Up keep of hotel interior cleanliness & tidiness, waiting tables

Head Housekeeper

Duties and responsibilities

·        Clean rooms and public areas in accordance with rosters and/or daily objectives in a timely manner.

·        Ensure that all standards are met and that set procedures are followed.

·        Follow all health and safety processes and report any issues or possible hazards

·        Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner

·        Receive any customer requests or complaints and fulfil or pass on to management as appropriate.

·        Maintain absolute customer privacy and respect customer property. 

·        Maintain an excellent relationship with the front office staff to ensure the procedures between the front office and housekeeping department achieve the desired result relating to guest room availability, guest lost property and any other matters.

·        Assist with other duties as required.
