Dairy Farm Assistant

Starting 1st week in August we are looking for a farm assistant to join our team. We want someone who can help take in the cows for milking, help to wash down and clean the shed and yards after milking and some other farm work. The job involves early starts and would need to love working outside and ideally have been on a farm before. This is an ideal job for someone who has farm experience and wants to gain further experience in New Zealand farming. 

We provide wet weather gear and gum boots.

This job starts the last week in July or first week in August. We operate a 10 on, 4 off roster. The hours will be approx. 50 per week. 

There is excellent accomodation available, it is your own room in a shared house. The houses are all recently refurbished and are kept to a very high standard. They are fully furnished. Accomodation is free, but you must pay your share of the power bill. 

The farm is located on the outskirts of Invercargill, the city has plenty of sports, restuarants, cafes, bars, supermarkets, a new mall, cinema, parks. It is a very social place. we are 10 mins to the centre of Invercargill. 2,5hours to Queenstown and 2.5hours to Dunedin.
