Barista

We're looking for an experienced Barista to join our friendly Front of House team here at the Fairlie Bakehouse.

We're a vibrant, multicultural team with staff from all around the world. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow travellers, earn some money and explore the best of the South Island.

About the Role - Barista

Summer is one of our busiest and most exciting times of the year,  with the Christmas rush and holidaymakers passing through. You'll be part of our café team, preparing quality espresso coffees and other beverages, serving customers and operating the till, restocking displays and assisting with general café duties.

We're looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year of barista experience, preferably in a high-volume café. You'll need to be confident working under pressure, have strong English communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude.

The Details

• Pay: $25.00 per hour + 8% holiday pay
• Full-time, seasonal position - minimum 40 hours per week
• Extra hours may be available when needed, plus time-and-a-half pay on public holidays - a great opportunity to save for your next adventure!
• Minimum 3-month paid position
• A Fairlie Bakehouse pie and drink provided for lunch each working day
• Rostered days off each week
• Assistance connecting with local accommodation providers

Important Availability Requirements

• Immediate Start Available
• We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, so you'll have these two days off to enjoy.
• You must be available to work throughout the summer period
