Sous Chef / Experienced Cook — The Royal Hotel, Naseby • Central Otago

Join us at the historic Royal Hotel, built in 1863 and freshly restored to celebrate the Maniototo’s gold‑mining heritage. Nestled in a beautiful Alpine Village, Naseby, our cosy bar and restaurant are a favourite for locals, Rail Trail riders, mountain bikers, and summer holiday makers. Naseby is 1.5 hours from Dunedin, 2 hours from Queenstown.

We’re looking for an experienced, upbeat Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and help deliver great food in a fast‑paced, welcoming kitchen.

What you’ll do

• Prepare salads, pizzas, burgers, mains, desserts, and sauces
• Run the salad section during service
• Help with general kitchen duties
• Closing & Cleaning
• Lead the kitchen on the Head Chef’s days off

What we need

• Start mid immediately 
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and split shifts
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Good English
• Work commitment for 3 months
• Must already be resident in New Zealand
• References required
