Production Operator

New Zealand Quality Petfoods Ltd (NZQP) is seeking reliable Casual Production Operators for its East Tāmaki pet food manufacturing facility. Work is offered according to customer orders and production requirements, with approximately three to four days per week initially but no guaranteed minimum hours. Normal shifts are 8:00am–4:30pm, comprising eight paid hours, two paid 15-minute rest breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The role pays NZ$23.95 gross per hour plus separately identified 8% holiday pay and involves food production, packing, cleaning, accurate production documentation, quality checks, and compliance with NZQP’s health and safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP requirements. Applicants must be physically capable of hands-on factory work, reliable, punctual, willing to learn and legally entitled to work in New Zealand, with opportunities for more regular employment as customer demand and production volumes grow.
