Experienced Barista

☕ Experienced Barista – Summer Season (October - End April 27)

We’re a small, friendly café in central Kaikōura, and we’re looking for an experienced barista to join our team for the summer season!

Kaikōura is a pretty special place to spend the summer, and this could be a great opportunity for a traveller looking to settle down, work hard and enjoy everything Kaikōura has to offer.

The role:

• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Must be available to work weekends
• Good pay rates ($25 - $28 depending on experience)
• Summer seasonal position
• Valid NZ work visa required

What you’ll be doing:

☕ Making espresso coffee to a high standard
🥯 Basic food preparation
💳 POS handling
😊 Providing friendly customer service
🧹 Opening and closing duties
🙌 Helping out in other areas of the café when needed

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and well presented, with good English and a great attitude. You’ll need to have good personal hygiene, take pride in your work and be happy to get stuck in as part of a small team.

Barista experience is essential, and the ability to jump between coffee, food prep, serving customers and other café duties is a big plus.
