Dispatch Warehouse Assistant

Immediate start, plenty of hours through to mid-December

We're looking for an experienced dispatch and warehousing person to take ownership of our dispatch department in the run-up to Christmas. You'll be packing and dispatching orders, quality checking product before it goes out the door, and making sure every parcel leaving us is accurate and well presented.

This is a role for someone who wants to run their own patch. You'll manage the flow of work out the door. Attention to detail matters enormously here, every box that goes out is a school's fundraiser and a family's keepsake.

Kids Art Works is a busy print production business specialising in turning children's artwork into high-quality calendars, cards, diaries, notebooks, and other keepsake products for schools across New Zealand and Australia.

We work to tight seasonal deadlines in the lead-up to Christmas, producing thousands of customised products each day. Our environment is fast-paced, energetic, and focused on accuracy, every item we produce is a treasured keepsake for families.

Key Tasks & Duties:

• Pack orders accurately and efficiently to daily targets
• Quality check product before dispatch and pull anything that isn't right
• Own the dispatch area: keep it organised, stocked, and running smoothly
• Book and prepare courier and freight consignments
• Manage packaging supplies and flag reorders before you run out
• Assist elsewhere in the factory when dispatch is on top of things
• Physical work: lifting boxes and standing for extended periods

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in dispatch, warehousing, or logistics
• Exceptional attention to detail, you catch what others miss
• Fast, with a genuinely strong work ethic
• Self-managing, takes initiative, doesn't wait to be told
• Motivated and reliable, especially under seasonal pressure
• Comfortable being measured on output and accuracy
• Fluent in English and comfortable with basic systems and scanning

Work Schedule:

• Immediate start
• Currently 8:00am to 4:30pm
• Hours will gradually increase leading up to Christmas
• Peak production (for a few weeks): full days 8:00am to 6:00pm
• Plenty of hours available now until mid-December
• $25.86/hour (includes 8% holiday pay)
