Chef De Partie |
| Payment: | $28 | Location: | Picton Waterfront |
| Region: | Marlborough/Blenheim/Picton | Experience: | Experience Necessary |
We are Sisu Eatery and Bar on the Picton waterfront with stunning views of the Sounds. With only 23 seats inside, we run a laid-back personalized concept with seasonal small sharing plates with Nordic touch and an attentive, honest service.
We have two opportunities available to join our small team! 1. Summer season Fixed-term Chef de partie (any skill level as long as you have some experience) until Easter 2027. 2 Permanent Full-time Senior Chef de partie (minimum experience of 3 years).
About the role: Full-time hours in a small supportive team. Ideal candidate is an all-rounder being able to do both cold and hot side or someone who wants to work the hot side of the kitchen. We can upskill someone wanting to grow their skill set, but you will need to be able to work independently and have good basic cooking skills already. You’ll manage your own station during shifts and communicate directly with FOH members.
This role includes all kitchen work: prepping, running service, recipe/menu development and cleaning, and occasionally even food running. You’ll need to have passion for the type of cuisine we offer. If you like working with quality ingredients and have attention to detail and care for the customer experience, we would like to hear from you!
We are open for lunch and dinner 5 days a week (moving back up to 6 days in the summer season). Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential and occasionally working public holidays. Picton is a seasonal destination so hours will fluctuate, more hours in the summer.
