Food Beverage Duty Manager

Your day-to-day

Giants Bar & Restaurant, located within the Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park, is looking for a Food & Duty Manager to join our team! 

• Ensure guests have a smooth and memorable dining experience - from the reservation until the end of the meal!
• Barista skills will be held in high regard
• Ensure meetings and events are accurately planned and prepared for in accordance with Banquet Event Orders
• Attend BEO Meetings
• Complete stock-take and place orders according to forecasted requirements and budgets
• Follow internal financial policies for handling payments and cash and ensure colleagues are educated on these
• When required, assist Chef and Kitchen team with planning menus
• Create Rosters and approve timesheets
• You'll be responsible for coordinating the duties of Food & Beverage Attendants and will ensure that operations between the different areas of Food and beverage are running smoothly.
• Take appropriate action on all guest feedback to ensure continuous improvement
• Train & develop your team using a leadership style that creates a positive environment
• Implement initiatives to drive motivation in the team such as upsell targets
• Involvement in recruitment of colleagues
• Work closely with the Front Office department to ensure a seamless experience for in-house guests

What we need from you

• Ability to work in the mornings or evenings
• Able to work on public holidays
• A positive and energetic attitude with a "can do" approach means you're happy to roll up your sleeves and help everyone out
• Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter that can take the lead in any situation
• Two years of at least Supervisory or Team Leader experience in a hotel/hospitality position 
• With your own signature flare, you’ll turn our high standards into memorable meals for every guest
• Knowledge of F&B operations (this could include knowledge of some or all of the following areas: Barista, Bar, Restaurant or Banquets)
