Calf Rearer/dairy Assistant

Full Job Description
We have 2 roles located in  Mid Canterbury,  this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dairy Assistant to join a well-established dairy operation assisting with calf rearing and milking. 

Details:
 

• Start Date: Immediate 
• Now - end of October
• Now - Decmeber
• Roster: c/1 over calving then 6/2
• Accommodation:Shared accommodation with own bedroom

Tasks:
 

• Calf Rearing
• Milking and daily shed operations
• Moving stock and fences
• Feeding out and general farm duties
• Mowing, spraying thistles, and maintaining farm surrounds
• General farm maintenance and seasonal work

Requirements:
 

• Previous dairy farming experience preferred
• Must have some stock sense and animal handling skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the farm
• Good English communication skills
• Full driver's licence preferred
• Legal right to work in New Zealand (AEWV not available)
