Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tradesperson for a busy welding workshop based in Christchurch.

The hours of work are dayshift Monday to Friday, 40- 45 hours a week. With occasional overtime as required on a Saturday. 
  
Tasks will include repairs and maintenance, welding, cutting, grinding and fabrication of parts and items. Primarily MIG, TIG and Flux Core. 

The role is working with a small, friendly team in a busy environment where the team work together to get the job done to a high standard on time, producing quality work every time.
  
Starting rate: $28.00 to $36.00 per hour (depending on experience) 

What we need from you:
 

  • Good communication skills 
  • Good welding/ fitting/ fabrication skills
  • Qualifications and or 2+ Years Experience. 
  • Able to use your own initiative 
  • Confident with repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Team player, with a good attitude and good work ethic
  • Full class 1 licence and transport to get to work
  • Clean MOJ and able to pass a drug test
  • Be happy to complete a variety of tasks as required

Beneficial:
