2 Farm Assistants

We require 2 Farm Assistants (a couple due to accomodation) to join our team of 5 to starting ASAP for a period of at least 3 months but up to 6 months, time period flexible.
You will be required to help feed and rear calves. Milking approximately 1000 cows, through a 60 bale rotary cowshed with ACR's.
The ideal candidates will have at least some dairy farming experience but this is not essential. 
You will need to be honest, reliable, able to communicate well and work effectively within a team. 

Main Duties will include general farm duties such as milking, riding 2 wheel motorbikes, operating tractors, assisting us in feeding out and weed spraying in spring and summer months.  

We also have a neighbouring 320 cow farm where time will be split working there feeding calves and milking. 

We run a 6 days on 1 day off roster for 6 weeks over calving and then return to our normal, 8 days on 2 days off 8 days on 3 days off roster, with minimal farm work required on weekends .

Accomodation available is a tidy, furnished, single room self contained cabin. 
The farm is located on Forest Road, Taupo. 25 miniutes from town.
