🚐 Campervan Kitset Assembly & Fit-Out Technician πŸ› οΈ

Location: Helensville, West Auckland

Job Type: Full-time - Casual employment

Are you handy, detail-oriented, and love seeing a project come together from start to finish? We are a growing campervan company looking for enthusiastic Assembly & Fit-Out Technicians to join our team in Helensville.

If you have a knack for cabinetry and aren't afraid to hook up a 12V battery or route a plumbing line, this is the role for you!

πŸ“ The Role

You will be responsible for turning flat-pack components and raw parts into high-quality, fully functional dream campervans. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days look exactly the same.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Cabinetry Assembly: Turning purposely designed flat-pack components into premium, precision-fitted campervan interiors using standard workshop tools.
  • 12V Electrical Fit-Out: Installing and connecting 12V DC systems, including wiring, LED lighting, switches, control panels, and auxiliary batteries.
  • Plumbing Installation: Setting up fresh and grey water systems, including water tanks, sinks, 12V pumps, and secure hose connections.
  • Quality Assurance: Testing all connections (water and electrical) and ensuring a flawless, rattle-free finish before the van hits the road.

πŸ‘€ What We Are Looking For

We need all-rounders who take pride in their craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of the following:

  • The Handy Basics: Proven experience with power tools (drills, routers, saws) and general workshop safety practices.
  • Technical Savvy: A basic understanding of 12V DC electrical systems (crimping, fusing, and neat wire routing) and basic plumbing mechanics.
  • An Eye for Detail: A high standard of finish. In a campervan, every millimetre counts!
  • Background: Prior experience in cabinetry, boat building, caravan repair, auto-electrical, or general trades is a major plus.
  • The Right Attitude: Reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently while still being a great team player.

✨ What’s in it for You?

  • Work in a clean, organised workshop environment.
  • Be part of a small team creating products that people love.
  • Great job satisfaction. You get to see a shell of a van turn into a beautiful home on wheels.
