Dairy Farm Assistant + Calf Rearer

We have x2 roles available which would suit a couple. A dairy farm assistant where you would be working in a team of 3/4 on a 700 cow farm under the contract milker.  Duties will include getting the cows in, milking and picking up calves.  Full training will be given. 

The other role will be a house keeping/ calf rearing role.  It will require 2-3 hours of house duties in the morning and then joining the calf rearing team for the rest of the day.  You will always be working with the farm owner and full training will be given.  This role is physically demanding with some lifting of buckets for the new calves.  We have excellent facilities with a new tunnel calf rearing shed.

Accommodation is a converted barn with a heat pump and is fully furnished. Power will be payed for by the owner.  There is further work planting natives once calving is finished if wanted.

Start date is 20th of July to start/mid October
