What will you do?

  • Ensure Road-Ready Safety: Inspect, test, and troubleshoot vehicles to guarantee they are safe, roadworthy, and in peak condition for our guests.
  • Master the Technical Details: Maintain and repair a wide range of motorhome systems, from mechanical components to interior appliances and bodywork.
  • Solve Complex Faults: Use advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer manuals to efficiently locate faults and execute high-quality repairs.
  • Collaborate and Share Skills: Work closely with workshop leaders and internal teams to share expertise and support business operations.
  • Maintain Digital Precision: Carefully interpret job descriptions and log all completed repair work accurately into our fleet management system.
  • Uphold Safety Standards: Keep your workstation clean and safe, proactively identifying hazards and complying with health and safety regulations.

What we need from you

  • Proven Mechanical Experience: Experience maintaining and repairing diesel light commercial vehicles and/or caravans is preferred (rental industry experience is a plus). Motor trade qualification is highly desirable.
  • Multidisciplinary Expertise: Solid hands-on experience across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; a relevant trade qualification is highly advantageous.
  • Strong Diagnostic Skills: Resourceful, solution-based thinking with the ability to leverage digital guides and diagnostic tools to solve complex problems.
  • Resilience & Energy: A proactive, energetic, and flexible approach with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure during peak periods.
  • Excellent Integrity & Collaboration: High professional integrity with the communication skills needed to work seamlessly across diverse teams.
  • The Essentials and Road-Ready: Legal entitlement to work in NZ, a clean full driver’s licence, and the confidence to drive large motorhomes.
  • Flexible Availability: Available to work across a seven-day roster (Monday to Sunday) to ensure our year-round workshop operations run smoothly.

This is a 3-month fixed-term position with an immediate start.
