General Farmhand- Farm Assistant

We are seeking someone to help on our sheep and cattle farm and we need you to start mid June and preferably able to stay with us for several months.  Tasks will include assisting with ;  feeding sheep, electric fencing, mustering, drenching, weighing, crutching etc,. Also some work with cattle along with helping with the many other tasks around the farm, garden and homestead.  The farm is within an attractive valley with great views, expansive skies and access to the top of the range. 

This role  is for someone who likes and is caring to animals and enjoys the outdoors.  There is only a job for one person.

You need to be physically fit with a level of strength.  Ideally you have some experience with sheep /other animals along with being quick to learn, good communication skills, good humoured, happy to help out where it is needed and have a good work ethic. Practical skills such as fencing and carpentry would be a  plus. The ability to drive a manual 4 WD with trailer is required and able to ride a  motorbike may be useful.

We can offer $25.85 dollars /hr including holiday pay. There will be some long days and weekend work. 

If you have your own accommodation eg van or campervan that would be great. Should you need accommodation there is a caravan available.  You will need to have your own transport to explore the greater area.
