Dairy Farm Assistant

Due to unforeseen circumstances our small family farm requires a farm assistant to support us this coming season, starting with calving time in August 2026. 

Having run the farm over the past eight seasons as a husband & wife duo (plus kids), we're looking for someone to support us in the running of the dairying operation. Consisting of a range of typical dairy farm duties/jobs; including, but not limited to, milking sole-charge, able to work independently, operating a four-wheel motorbike, putting up fences etc.

• Hours ranging from 20-40 hours per week. Flexible hours and days to suit, and as available.
• Flexible milking times; last season start 7am, and afternoon milkings 4pm. 
• This position is a drive-in position. Located approx. 15 mins from Winton & 20 mins from Invercargill.
• Must have Driver's License.
• Must currently reside in New Zealand and hold a current visa/residency/NZ citizenship.
• Experience in dairy farming required, working at least three months in the industry.
• Must be drug-free. 
• Be reliable, time efficient, and have a good attitude (sense of humour a bonus) to work alongside our family-friendly team.
