Dairy Farm Assistant – Hinds, Mid Canterbury

We are a progressive dairy farming operation based in Hinds, just 20 minutes south of Ashburton.

Our farm milks 950 cows through a modern 54-bail rotary shed featuring automatic cup removers and automatic teat spraying systems.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated person with a positive, can-do attitude to join our team for the upcoming season. The role will initially involve wintering cows over the next two months, followed by calving and the breeding period.

The successful applicant will:
• Be physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all conditions
• Have basic English and good communication skills
• Show a willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

Previous dairy farming experience is preferred but not essential. We welcome applicants of all experience levels, as attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn are most important to us.

Accommodation is provided on-farm, located just 5 minutes from the beach and 40 minutes from the ski fields.
