Dairy Farm Worker

We have 2 neighboring dairy farms with 930 and 300 Spring calving cows in Rongahere/Clydevale. We are looking for an additional worker to join our team for a minimum of 6 months in a full time role (minimum 30 hours per week). Immediate start - work for June and July is our winter period where cows are not being milked and it is fencing on winter crops and maintenance, before calving starts in August. 

We have 3 other full time staff plus ourselves on farm. We are looking for people who do have some experience/knowledge working around large animals or machinery. 

Farm details: 
930 cows through a 60bale rotary shed with in shed feeding, automatic drafting on 350hectares
300 cows through a 36 bale rotary shed with in shed feeding, automatic drafting, Cow Manager monitoring on 120hectares.
 

The jobs will include: milking, bringing animals to the yards, setting up fences, cleaning of facilities and gear, spraying weeds, tagging animals, moving fences on winter crops, assisting with rearing calves (including feeding, drenching, weighing etc), tractor work if already experienced operating machinery and all general farm tasks. 

We have a 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom house which will be furnished and available for staff. Start time anytime from the 1st June, but mid July at the latest. Roster 7 on, 2 off, 7 on, 2 off, 7 on, 3 off for the farm roles.

We will also have an au pair/nanny role to help with our 2 kids starting early to mid July for someone experienced with kids.
