$29.90 per hour plus holiday pay (accumulating)

TEMP ASSIGNMENT - until May/June 2027

Are you physically fit and enjoy working outdoors? We are looking for temporary labourers, for a temporary position to work for the Summer season starting as soon as possible.

Our waterway labourers are responsible for maintaining rivers and streams. You will be responsible for cutting banks as you move down the Avon and Heathcote rivers; moving into aquatic weed eating.

You will be operating weed eaters and garden tools, raking of oxidised weeds, both on the banks and whilst in the river, so will need to be agile and fit for this role.

About you

• Comfortable in water, sometimes up to your chest in height so need to be a confident swimmer.

• Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• A can-do attitude, open minded in a changing environment.

• You will have good attendance, be punctual and reliable.

• Work well in a team environment.

• Full Class 1 Licence and vehicle.

• Must be able to commit to the full assignment until May/June 2027 and work through the Christmas period (except stat days)
