Calf Rearer/dairy Farm Work

Hi we are looking for someone to help out from now until December/Christmas. Good candidates will be fit, strong, active and don't mind getting hands dirty for daily farm work. Good positive attitude, willing to learn, team player and also happy to work alone. Some motor bike experience (two wheeler and/or four) would be beneficial or you are willing to learn.

General duties.

-Mornings start at 8am for calf feeding and sometimes at 6am for milking. then a lunch break and then afternoon milking and feeding at 2pm until 6pm. I wont be as busy to start but will increase over time. You will be required to work weekends and can have 2 days of during the week(can be flexible). preferably Monday and Tuesday. At the end off calving maybe opportunity for extra days off.

-We also have have a small kiwifruit and avocado orchard that might need some help.

-Hours will be 40+ per week at minimum wage plus holiday pay 8%. Good work will include a bonus at the end.

We offer accommodation and food(3 meals per day) for 10 hours per week. this includes WiFi internet.

Accommodation is a small cabin with its own toilet and shower.

Its preferable that you have a car or are wanting to get a car as we having many great places to see and do around Waihi. Waihi beach is only 5 minutes drive and the Karangahake gorge is only 10mins. We are also at the south of the Coromandel and in your days off you can explore it all.

We are a family farm with myself single male and sometimes my brother and his partner. And my father that lives next door. On farm there is myself manager and an assistant.

We are looking for someone wanting to be a part of our team and family who wants to learn and experience about NZ dairy farming and hopefully have a good experience working and travelling NZ.
