Cafe Baking Position

Sadly, after an extended time our baking person is heading overseas but paves the opportunity for someone to step into a fantastic position to carry out baking tasks in a specialty kitchen that produces cakes, slices, cookies and muffins for our busy café. 

The role has a degree of autonomy about it and the ability to set your own pace. 

Whilst we present a great range of tasty and good looking cakes and slices we have streamlined and simplified the process so that the tasks are achievable by anyone who can follow written instructions, engage well with others and have logical thinking and a passion for some sweet treats.  Anyone who has undertaken this role has enjoyed all aspects of the job and moved on with an enriched skillset.

 We can offer good training and support from within the business to this role. 

The position currently calls for 3 to 4 days per week full time.  This may grow.    However, we have the flexibility to and can also offer general café duties, learn great coffee making skills that will top up the position to 5 days per week.   Likewise, there is an option for a 4-day week and 3 days off, suiting someone wanting to get out and explore the area and neighboring regions.  

We can also offer accommodation and of course doorstep access to one of NZ’s best National Parks.  Arthurs Pass is beautiful, relaxing, challenging and offers enjoyment for all. 

Because it is a specialty role, we would ask for a commitment of 6 months to this position if possible.   You will gain some incredible skill sets for use in other roles and also many skills for you personal life.
