Practical Handyperson – Live-In Opportunity (Algies Bay)

Turtle Totes, an earth-friendly NZ brand making hand-woven bags from recycled plastic bottles, is after a practical, reliable all-rounder to help with a variety of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with Turtle Totes distribution and stock management.
• Building and maintaining product displays and storage facilities.
• General property maintenance, repairs and small building projects.
• Assisting with transport, set-ups and pack-downs at markets and trade shows.
• Packaging orders and assisting with deliveries.

Live-in: Live-in accommodation is available  (private room, rural, beautiful Northern beach environment).

Ideal Requirements:

• Trade Experience Ideal
• Can work independently and follow through with instructions
• Flexible and reliable – comfortable with a fluid agenda/ weekend work
• Physically capable of lifting/moving market gear
• Enjoys a varied, positive work environment
• Can work independently. 
• Comfortable around dogs.
• A Positive Attitude (high priority)

Job Details:

Start date: ASAP

Location: Algies Bay, Auckland

Contract type: Fixed term – 2 weeks to longterm option (initital trial, option to extend)

Pay:  Pay $25-30/hour after 22 hour volunteer hours in return for 7 days food and board 

Hours: Minimum 22 hours per week  (weekend work negotiable)
