My name is Jon. I'm a Kiwi guy with a good sense of humour, living and working in central Wellington. I am looking for a highly reliable, intelligent, and mature people to join my personal support team. I am a professional with a physical disability (Cerebral Palsy), and this role is built on a foundation of trust, discretion, and mutual respect. It involves assisting me with every aspect of my independent life.

The Role: 

This is a varied role that requires adaptability and a high degree of common sense.

  • Personal Care: Assisting with showering, dressing, eating and using the toilet. This is an essential part of the job, and full guidance is provided.
  • Professional Support: Assisting me during my workday, both in my home office and potentially at my workplace.
  • Home Life: Helping with housework, cooking, shopping, and general household administration to keep my home a zen, smooth-running space.
  • Social Life: Assisting me when I go out, socialise with friends, or just chilling at home.

About You: What I'm Looking For

While no formal qualifications are needed, a practical and proactive mindset are essential.

  • Character: You are open-minded, intelligent, and have a genuine sense of care.
  • Experience: None required! I'm looking for the right attitude, not a specific skillset.
  • Mindset: You're a great listener, a quick learner, and happy to try your best.
  • Flexibility: You understand that life doesn't always run 9-to-5 and are sometimes able to stay a bit longer if needed (all hours are paid, of course!).
  • You understand: The importance of reliability and can take initiative.
  • You are looking for: A role where your contribution makes a direct and meaningful impact.

The Details: Shifts, Pay & Location

  • Pay: $30 per hour before tax.
  • Location: Mount Cook, Wellington. Central, close to Cuba St, and easily accessible. No driving required.
  • Hours: Flexible. My small team works between 15-40 hours a week. We can discuss a schedule that works for both of us.
  • Shifts: The core shifts are as follows. Please note that weekend evenings often finish later.
    • Weekday Mornings (Mon-Fri): 7am – 3:30pm
    • Weekday Evenings (Mon-Thu): 3:30pm – late (after 11pm)
    • Friday Evening: 3:30pm – late (after 12:30am)
    • Weekend Days (Sat & Sun): 10am – 3:30pm
    • Saturday Evening: 5:30pm – late (after 12:30am)
    • Sunday Evening: 5pm – late (after 11pm)
