Calf Rearer

We are looking for 1-2 people to come and help us along with our hardworking and fun team of 8 other calf rearers on our dairy farm 10 minutes south of Twizel.

We will be rearing around 1200 calves from 1 day old to beyond weaning. 

Duration of job is August 1st- Early December 

Roster is 6 days on 1 day off August- September then 5 days on 2 days off October- December. 

This is very physical, hard work and a lot of time spent outdoors in all-weather conditions. 

Accommodation is shared and you will be required to travel to the farm daily; other staff usually work out a carpooling system. Wage package includes power, rent and internet. 

You must be able to speak and understand English. 

Although some days are challenging, rearing calves is one of the most rewarding jobs. With a good attitude and teamwork, we can get through the busy days together. We are happy to help you learn and develop your skills while enjoying the experience along the way.
