Social Media & Business Assistant – LIVE IN  (Algies Bay)2-Week Initial Trial – Potential for Long-Term Work

Turtle Totes, an earth-friendly New Zealand brand (turtletotes.co.nz) specialises in creating fairtrade, handwoven bags made from recycled plastic water bottles. We're looking for a practical, creative and social media-savvy person to join the Turtle Team.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining online marketing, customer service, product distribution and assisting at outdoor markets and trade shows.

Our ideal teammate will be proactive, personable and can work independently. An ongoing position exists for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing website content and products (Shopify).
  • Creating and posting content on Instagram and Facebook.
  • Assisting with markets and trade shows, including set-up, sales and pack-down.
  • Customer service and order enquiries.
  • Helping with stock management, packaging and distribution.

Ideal Person

  • Confident with social media and website editing.
  • Creative, organised and able to work independently.
  • Flexible and reliable, including occasional weekend work.
  • Physically capable of handling market equipment.
  • Enjoys a varied, relaxed working environment.
  • Comfortable around dogs.
  • A kindred spirit with a positive attitude – very important!

Live-In Opportunity

Accommodation is available in a lovely rural setting near the beach at Algies Bay, Warkworth, approximately one hour north of Auckland.

A private room and relaxed coastal lifestyle make this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys nature, beaches and their own space.

Job Details

Start: ASAP
Location: Algies Bay, Auckland
Initial Period: 2 weeks, with potential for longer-term work
Hours: Approximately 22-50 HOURS PER WEEK
Accommodation: Private room and food money
Remuneration: 22 hours/week to cover food and accommodation.After 22 hours, paid work begins @ $25 per hour. Potential for wages increase after successful trial periods
