Front Of House Long Weekends

Staff Wanted for Summer – OMC - Barista / Front of House Superstar - End of November Start

We are looking for someone to help us with The Old Mill Waterfront Café through to the middle of March.  You may be a keyholder wanting to step up. We are happy to upskill the right person with the right attitude.  Chances are you’ve been working in the hospitality industry for at least 1 year and are looking for a role around the 15 hours per week Friday to Sunday in the Sunny Coromandel for summer.

You will need to have excellent customer service and communication skills.  You will be a jack of all trades so can make coffee, as well as confidently take people's orders and help wherever the need is, even if it is washing dishes.  You will have the ability to work independently and be confident to make decisions.  You will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and energy and can work under pressure.

You will need to be able to make great decisions and ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety and hygiene standards. 

Our current hours are Wednesday to Sunday 8.30am to 2.30pm, so whilst the role is all weekend, it is mainly day work with enough time to fit in a surf, or a BBQ with friends on the beach in the evening. 

There will be the odd function that you will need to be available for (usually a Wednesday or a Friday Evening).  We love upskilling people so you will leave with more knowledge than when you started.

Pay rate dependent on experience.
