Barista

Come and enjoy summer on the Coromandel!

We are looking for an experienced Barista to provide great coffee and awesome drinks service to customers at our cafe. 

Summer gets busy so you need to be skilled in preparation of all espressos, machine settings and clean down and of course a little latte art. You need to have practical experience in a busy cafe or coffee house - don't apply if you don't have this experience or if you've just done a 1-2 day course. 

We'd love you to be great with customers, a team player and someone that can work under pressure and have fun at the same time. 

Your hourly rate will be $25 + 8% casual holiday pay ($27 gross before tax) and we will provide you a meal when you are working. You must have a valid visa or work permit for NZL. Full time work available immediately (35-40 hours per week). We are seeking someone that is able to commit to the team until the end of January.

We work daytime hours, so you have your evenings free to enjoy the local area and amenities on offer. We are located close to Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cooks Beach, Tairua and Whitianga. Great beaches and nature but you do need your own transport on the Coromandel. In addition to your wage, you will be provided a meal as part of your shift. We don't provide accommodation specifically but if you are travelling in a van you may be able to park on site and use the facilities in exchange for some hours of work (bathroom, washing machine, wifi, basic kitchen (oven/cooktop)).
