Come and enjoy summer on the Coromandel!

We are looking for Cafe Attendants to support the preparation and service of delicious home made food to customers at our cafe. The Cafe Attendant roles are multi-facaeted and in a small kitchen we need to work well together as a team. The Cafe Attendant roles involve front of house service, hot & cold food preparation & plating, cafe set up and clean down, picking from the gardens, running food & dishes as needed. In busy times you will have responsibility for one station for the day. 

Summer does gets busy. We'd love you to be great with customers, a team player and someone that can work under pressure and have fun at the same time. It helps if you have a passion for food, customer service, an attention to detail and willingness to learn. Some expereince in a kitchen, cafe, restaurant and with food hygiene & safety practices is helpful and will be looked upon favourably, but we will train you.

Your hourly rate will be $24 + 8% casual holiday pay ($25.92 gross before tax) and we will provide you a meal when you are working. You must have a valid visa or work permit for NZL. 

Full time work available from mid December. We are seeking someone that is able to work until the end Jan / mid Feb.

We work daytime hours, so you have your evenings free to enjoy the local area and amenities on offer. We are located close to Hahei, Hot Water Beach, Cooks Beach, Tairua and Whitianga. Great beaches and nature but you do need your own transport on the Coromandel. In addition to your wage, you will be provided a meal as part of your shift. We don't provide accommodation but if you are travelling in a van you may be able to park on site and use the facilities in exchange for some hours of work (there are toilets, an area to do your dishes & wifi available, but you'll need your cooking set up & a solar shower).
