ABOUT US

On the Shores of Lake Ohau nestled on 10 hectares is a 72 room Alpine Lodge. The owners have created an amazing recipe that has stood the test of time that has generation after generation returning over winter to unwind and ski their hearts out. Summer is no slouch either, with the lodge being a prime stop for the Alps to Ocean cycle trail. 

Our mantra is to treat every guests as a welcomed visitor in our own home.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a general hand / houseman, you will play a key role working behind the scenes to complete a variety of jobs to keep the lodge looking tip top. 

Available from December. 
Expect to work 40 hours per week.
Minimum commitment of 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • feeding the animals
  • clearing rubbish and debris
  • recycling
  • cleaning up after events
  • cleaning up entrance ways
  • washing windows
  • moving laundry
  • supporting housekeeping
  • vacummning
  • firewood

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • Ready to roll up your sleeve with a can do attitude
  • work in all weather conditions, wind, rain, snow, sun
  • be physically fit and active
  • Strong organizational and staying calm under pressure
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
