Barista / Foh Immediate Start

Position: Barista / FOH

Ethels Cinema, Café and Bar is a popular boutique twin-screen cinema situated in the picturesque seaside town of Akaroa, located an hour's drive from Christchurch. Ethels offers a unique cinematic experience that combines freshly made onsite café food, Italian style pizza and a fabulous range of boutique wines and craft beers.

We require an experienced Barista / Front of House team member to work part time (20 - 35 hours per week). We are looking for someone who is able to commit for 3 months to 6 months over the autumn/winter season, and can start from the 1st of May 2024 (or immediately). We're paying $24-$25/h PLUS benefits including free movies, staff meals and discounts! There's plenty to see & do in your time off - hiking one of our world renowned tracks, biking, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding or kayaking, the list goes on…

Requirements
- Passion for customer service and a friendly attitude
- Barista skills including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites, etc
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Previous hospitality experience essential
- Current NZ work visa required

Applicants must have a valid work visa or are a NZ resident. Hours negotiable between 20 - 35hrs per week.
