Full Time Orchard Pollination Roles

Great Pay Rate, Approximately 3 Months Work

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated seasonal workers to join our team for controlled pollination work in our radiata pine seed orchards. If you want to work outdoors in sunny Marlborough and are available full time over Winter, we want to hear from you!

Position: Casual Seed Orchard General Hand

Location: Marlborough- Wairau Bar and Seddon

Duration: Two Intakes, 1st beginning Monday 1st July, 2nd beginning Monday 15th July

Responsibilities:

• Apply controlled pollination bags to Radiata Pine Trees
• Pollination of isolated/controlled pine flowers
• Tree pruning
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
• General orchard duties as required

Requirements:

• Fit & able bodied
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
• Must have a valid work visa/ NZ Residence/ Citizenship
• Must have NZ IRD number and bank account
• Able to work full 8hr days outdoors in Winter conditions- 7:30am-4:00pm Mon-Fri (times will change over season due to daylight)
• NZ Drivers license preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be comfortable working with hands and doing repetitive movements
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely
• Previous experience in seasonal agriculture/ horticulture or related field is preferred but not necessary
