Hostel Housekeeping

We are looking for people to help us clean and maintain our hostel in exchange for accommodation. The position requires around 1-1.5 hours of work, from 10am each day. Duties could include cleaning rooms, tidying up communal areas, gardening and laundry.

Under the new Government rules this is a paid job, working approx 10 hours per week at $23.50+8% holiday pay, so you must already hold a valid Working Holiday Visa and have an IRD number. This is a live in position staying in a shared dorm and your accommodation costs will be $245.00 per week ($35 per night) which will be deducted from your weekly pay, so you WILL NOT RECEIVE A WAGE but you will not be out of pocket. You will have a dormitory bed in our staff room and use of all our communal facilities (kitchen, outdoor area, TV lounges, WiFi and spa pool). It is also an opportunity to meet other like minded travelers and socialize with others.   

Whilst experience is helpful it is not required - we will show you everything you need to know! We are looking for people to start immediately and would ideally like you to stay for two weeks or more, but will consider any time frame. Many of our staff also have paid work within the Paihia area (although this cannot be guaranteed) therefore can be a great opportunity to save up for your travels!!
