Au Pair

We are an experienced host family looking for a live in or live out Au Pair position starting early June 2024. (or if the right person is found, we would be flexible on this date)

We live on a working commercial farm. We have two household pets, one cat and one Scottish terrier. 

We are currently looking for a person to assist with the caring of our 15month old boy during the week. We foresee the successful applicant to complement our household and work with us as a team to raise Fergus. 

We live rurally however town is only a 15-20min drive away. Although an understanding of farm operations and rural life is not essential, it would be an advantage.

• Non smoking family
• We have two inside pets (one dog and one cat)
• We eat all kinds of food and do not limit our diet to anything specific. We are unable able to cater for vegans. 
• Language; English 

You will be required to:

• Display an extremely high level of care for an infant
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• General housework, food preparation
• Care of a 15 month old baby during the day including child age based educational activities
• Previous infant care is paramount
• Have a current 1st Aid certificate
• Legally be able to live and work in New Zealand
• Legally be able to drive in New Zealand
• 200 + hours of infant child care experience 

An interest in a farming lifestyle, gardening and horse riding is not essential, however would be beneficial.

We have a robust daily routine which is easy to follow and implement. Accommodation is a choice of a bedroom in the main house or in a room in a brand new (above healthy homes regulations) cottage located 3mins walk from the main house.
