Calf Rearer Assistant

We are looking for someone to join our team on our farm located between Dunsandel and Rakaia. This is a fixed term position but we may extend longer for the right candidate. We milk 1820 cows which are split between two 50 bale rotary sheds. You will be working with two other calf rearers and be assisted by farm team when needed.

Your duties:

• Feeding calves milk
• Must be patient and have empathy towards animals
• Able to drive side by side
• Can tow and reverse a trailer
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions well.
• And any additional duties as required.
• You will need to be physically fit.

Roster is 6 days on 1 day off. We understand people do have families and can be flexible with working hours for school drop offs and pickups.

This is a drive in role, no Accommodation is provided.

Hours will vary but a minimum 30 hours per week, hourly rate negotiable for the right person
