🌾 Farm Worker Wanted – Live & Work on a Taranaki Dairy Farm

We’re looking for a reliable, motivated person to join our team on a busy dairy farm in central Taranaki. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on farming experience, live in a beautiful rural setting, and be part of a welcoming, family household.

About the job:
You’ll be helping milk 550 cows using a 60-bale rotary system, along with other general farm tasks. You’ll be working alongside me (the farm owner) and two other staff members.

Farming experience is a bonus, but not essential — what matters most is a positive attitude, practical thinking, good fitness, and a willingness to work hard and learn.

Main tasks:

• Milking cows
• Moving stock
• General farm maintenance
• Helping on our small sheep and beef block as well when needed

When:

• Start: ASAP
• Finish: Minimum of three month committment and ideally longer.

Pay and hours of work:

• $25 per hour
• Approximately 50-55 hours per week.
• Roster is 12 days on, 2 days off per fortnight with only milkings required in the weekend.

Accommodation

We have an empty farm house available for you to live in. 

• Rent: $100 per week
