Region: Rotorua & Bay of Plenty Experience: No Experience Necessary

Do you enjoy working working outdoors rain or shine? Do you feel confident, and have fun working, with young animals?

Here at Bellvue Farm we have expanded our team and need a seasonal staff member to join our motivated and positive crew from mid-March until the end of May (there is some flexibility). We have a long history of hosting backpackers as most of us have had overseas experiences ourselves and we are keen to help provide others with the same cultural experiences.

The basics: feed calves their milk twice a day (8am and 5pm) and clean/maintain the equipment and pens. There are lots of opportunities to learn other farm skills depending on your interests. Some heavy lifting is required.

- MUST have a valid work visa and MUST be in New Zealand by the time the contract begins with a bank account and IRD number.

- Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

- Ideal if you have your own car so you can enjoy your time off by exploring off of the farm (we are halfway between Rotorua and Taupo).

- Be capable of communicating in English - we have staff who can assist with Spanish and French; however all our team communications are in English.

All backpackers in the past have opted for a shared accommodation with the farm owners (own bathroom/toilet and bedroom). This position and accomodation is suitable for only 1 person.

There is some flexibility with this role, but generally staff members opt to have 6 days working, 1 day off (usually a Tuesday), with a minimum of 3 hours work per day. Work picks up as the season continues so there is lots of time for on-the-job training.

Looking forward to you joining our thriving and growing team!
