Hostel All Rounder

HOSTEL ALL-ROUNDER WANTED – FINLAY JACKS BACKPACKERS, TAUPŌ

We’re looking for a fun, friendly and social person to join the crew at Finlay Jacks!

This is a proper hostel all-rounder role, so you’ll get involved in pretty much everything that makes the hostel tick — checking guests in, helping out with housekeeping, running social activities, chatting with guests and generally helping create the chilled, social atmosphere we’re known for.

The role:

• Around 37 hours per week
• 12 hours per week go towards your accommodation
• Accommodation provided in our shared staff room
• You’ll be expected to help organise and host social activities for our guests
• Minimum 4-month commitment
• Start date: ASAP

Who we’re looking for:

Someone bubbly, friendly and confident who genuinely enjoys being around people. A big part of the role is getting involved with guests and helping run our social activities, so you need to be comfortable getting a group together, having a laugh and helping create a good atmosphere around the hostel.

Hostel or hospitality experience is great, but personality is more important to us. We want someone who gets along with everyone, has a good attitude, isn’t afraid of a bit of hard work and is keen to become part of the FJ crew.
