Dairy Farmhands

We are currently looking for a motivated couple to join a progressive team as a Farm Assistant and Calf rearers 

Based in Mid Canterbury near Geraldine, this location offers outdoor activities such as tramping, hunting, mountain biking and skiing all within driving distance. We are 2 hours from Christchurch, 3 hours from Dunedin and 4.5 hours from Queenstown.

The spring calving herd of 1850 cows are milked through an automated 80 bail cowshed, with protrack, ACR’s, automatic teat spraying and in-shed feeding, the facilities have been set up for an efficient operation.

The accommodation available is a shared, furnished 4 bedroom all rooms have their own ensuite large communal kitchen and lounge. Large carport. 

You will bring an active & enthusiastic contribution in the day-to-day running of the farm operations and have Health & Safety at the forefront of mind.

We are looking for someone who reflects a positive & cooperative attitude with a calm & well-balanced nature.

A reasonable level of English is required 

Farming/Agricultural experience is a must, being able to communicate effectively & openly with all people and to work well within & value being a part of a team, is essential.

Preference will be shown to someone with calf rearing, Milking and/or Tractor/Front end loader experience
