We are Sisu Eatery and Bar at the Picton waterfront and we are looking for a member to join our team! We have a casual but modern concept with less than 30 seats inside (+outdoor seating). We do sharing plates with seasonal and fresh focus; and small producer wines, craft beer and gins.

We are a small owner operated Eatery and we focus on delivering a great experience to all the customers, but also staff. We have a happy supportive team and we all help each other out.

We are open lunch and dinner and weekend work is a must. We are open 6 days a week, always closed on Wednesdays. 

We are looking for someone to join us from now until sometime in March. Some experience in restaurant hospitality would be ideal. Great attitude and willingness to learn is appreciated. Full training will be provided. We don't do coffee so no barista skills needed! This roles includes mostly doing dishes, running food and telling the customer what the dish is, polishing glasses etc.

What we need from you:

Out going personality. You need to be comfortable engaging with customers.

Be quick on your feet

Consistency and attention to detail 

Be a great team member! Be respectful and polite towards others. 

You'll need to able to follow instructions and be happy to comply with our house rules and procedures.

You'll need to be willing to do dishes and cleaning.

You'll need to be fit enough to lift, do dishes and stay on your feet long periods at a time.

You must be fluent in conversational English!

You’ll need to have the right to work in New Zealand

What we offer

$25 + /h starting rate

rostered shifts over 5 working days a week, this role will be mostly daytime hours, though some nights might be needed.

part time hours 20h, maybe up to 30 hours a week.
