Rimanui Farms Limited runs a 1600 cow herd on a 430ha effictave block between Dunsandel and Horoarta approx. 40 min south of christchurch
The farm has two sheds one 54 bale rotary and one 60 bale rotary both with a high level of automation including in shed feeding, automatic cup removers and Allflex collars.
Irrigation is via 6 pivots and 2x Rotorainers with some fixed grid sprinklers
Rimanui currently runs a 5:2 roster to ensure all staff have a work life balance Accommodation is of a high standard with shared accommodation available on farm.

We are looking for an Assistant Herd Manager to join our current team of 7
Applicants for this position must have a high quality of workmanship and attention to detail with a passion for the dairy industry.
Reliability, honesty, and a willingness to grow and learn are also essential for this role.
The role will involve assisting with farm duties, including milking cows, assisting with pasture management, animal health, shed hygiene, farm maintenance, other tasks as reasonably requested.
This position would suite someone with 1+ year experience in the dairy industry.
A person who is wanting to take their first steps into their own personal dairy farming career with the guidance of a team and employers who are happy to support others.
Applicants must hold a valid New Zealand work visa and have a current driver’s licence.
We also have a drug free policy so applicants must be willing to undergo pe employment drug testing
